Supply Chain Manager (m/f/d)

At juwi AG, you'll be driving the energy revolution from different perspectives. We plan and implement wind and solar energy projects throughout Germany, support the international juwi companies and manage the activities of the entire juwi Group.

Objectives

  • Project purchasing:
    • Ensure cost-quality optimized goods and services are purchased for our projects, on suitable terms for delivery, cost, payments and quality to meet project timescales and milestones.
    • Seek, identify and engage appropriate suppliers for project-related goods and services.
    • Lead the negotiation of contract terms and pricing with both internal and external contacts, and assist with preparation of related agreements; full responsibility of manage and monitoring compliance of delivery against contracts; enforcement of claims to suppliers in case of deviations e.g. penalties.
    • Manage enquiries, quotations and ordering process including tracking order fulfilment for each project.
    • Set up and maintain a project cost-reporting system covering all purchased goods and services projects (in conjunction with PM and Construction team).
    • Support PM and Construction team in handling logistics, supplier variations, change orders etc.
    • Ensure the business adheres to legislation and good practice in all purchasing activities.
    • Procure materials to comply with all juwi EPC and O&M parts list requirements.
    • Support the sharing of best practice between Italy to other countries and juwi HQ.
    • Support on claim management and related post-sales activities.
 
  •  Strategic purchasing:
    •  Support the development and implementation of purchasing strategy for Italian projects, based on EMEA and global purchasing strategies, in coordination with Head of Project Supply Chain in Germany and with focus on the local suppliers / subcontractors.
    • Support and fill in all price information / offers into defined regional (EMEA) or global juwi cost database to enable continuous improvement and understanding of cost incl. historical development. For components / services where no regional or global juwi database is existing, build up cost database for Italy to allow continuous improvement and understanding of costs.
    • Clarification of market conditions relating to inter alia local content, imports, exports, credit limits, credit protection framework.
    • Compile a list of product specification using the input from other departments.
    • Forecasting and tracking capacities for Tier I & II suppliers.
    • Carry out and support supplier qualification based on existing processes with focus on Italian based suppliers / subcontractors.
    • Carry out and support a supplier performance evaluation process based on existing EMEA or global processes.
    • Monitor market for pricing trends, changes, new entrants, equipment lead time etc. and share information within Project Supply Chain and . Carry out regular Lead Buyer Report based on current templates in case of assigned Lead Buyer function.
    • Establish and maintain long-term local supplier and subcontractor relationship.
    • Work in conjunction with the juwi HQ purchasing organization to utilize global supplier frameworks.
    • Create and maintain standard and / or framework agreements where needed with local suppliers / subcontractors.
       

Your Profile

  • Several years’ experience in international procurement and supply chain management.
  • Preferred experience in procurement of civil / electrical subcontractor services.
  • Experience of the full Microsoft office suite including Excel and Project.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written in order to communicate with internal and external personnel.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure, with the ability to prioritise and organise own work load including flexibility in working hours as projects may require.
  • Full Professional English.
  Desirable attributes
  • Experience of working within the RE industry.
  • Experience of managing purchasing for multiple projects at any one time.
  Other
  • In addition to the duties mentioned above, the job holder is required to carry out other duties that are in essence part of his area of activity, according to his knowledge and abilities.
  • The job holder may be required to travel to project sites from time to time.
