O & M Site Engineer

Objectives

Roles and responsibilities
 
  • Over-all in charge of all O&M activities at site.
  • Diagnostic of breakdown problems and outages
  • Carrying out quality inspections on jobs.
  • Preparation of necessary plant tools and materials for procurement.
  • Controlling maintenance tools, stores and equipment.
  • Monitoring and controlling maintenance costs.
  • Supervising technicians and contractors.
  • Conducting breakdowns investigations and prepares reports for problems or issues.
  • Maintaining electrical systems and equipment including troubleshooting and modifying system if needed.
  • Maintaining equipment – troubleshooting problems, determining root cause, implementing solutions.
  • Carrying out preventive maintenance including equipment modifications/upgrading.
  • Supervising, training, leading and motivating team in the site.
  • Preparing daily, monthly, yearly maintenance report including checklists and records/database.
  • Meeting of set objectives and targets.
  • Ensuring the daily/Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly/Half yearly and Yearly maintenance and ensure compliance to the agreed terms and conditions of contract.
  • Ensure critical parameters like PR and Availability are tracked continuously.
  • Participate in objective setting, plan development and performance review of plant performance.
  • Work closely with subcontractor and ensure work is completed as per task.
  • Ensure compliance to all statutory / System requirements throughout the O&M period.
  • Ensure compliance to Health, Safety & Environmental regularity requirements and enforce usage of PPE’s at site.
  • Maintain good working relation with customer/utility requirements.
  • Communicates regularly with all maintenance technicians, both individually and as a group, to ensure good two-way communication concerning maintenance issues.
  • Ensure the operation of the plant at high efficiency. Review the operation of plant equipment and systems constantly, to minimize unplanned downtime, anticipate solve problems in a timely manner, and to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Initiates and carries out projects that improve efficiency and/or reduce operating costs.
  • Tracks, analyzes and improves key maintenance parameters such as asset utilization, maintenance cost, PM compliance, schedule compliance, etc.
  • Responsible for monitoring progress against metrics and implementing corrective measures within our Quality Management System in Service
  • Ensure the juwi Code of Corporate Responsibility and Business Ethics is upheld in all activities.
  • Identify, develop and implement short & long-term strategies which enhance the profitability, productivity and efficiency of the Service infrastructure for delivery of support services

Your Profile

  • Licensed Electrical Engineer (BSEE), Solar Engineer or any related engineering course
  • Preferred with experience in Operation and Maintenance
  • Good working attitude and able to work even without supervision
  • With supervisory experience and strong leadership attributes
  • With experience in Photovoltaic or Electro technical systems is an advantage
  • Can read and interpret electrical schematic diagram
  • Knowledgeable on electrical installation and operation standards
  • Knowledgeable in power, and electrical instrumentation and controls.
  • Knowledgeable in electrical tools and test measuring instruments
  • Has a broad knowledge in power plant system and equipment (Switchgears, Transformers, DC-AC Inverters, Air/Vacuum/ Molded Case Circuit Breakers, Cables)
  • Has experience working on LV, MV and HV. Background in HV switchyard maintenance is an advantage.
  • Competency in use of all programs within MS Office Suite and can-do reporting
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, multitasking, customer service, analytical, problem solving, relationship-building skills.
  • With experience in SCADA and CMMS.
  • Candidate will be based in CEBU, Philippines
